The Birth of Cider
Golden Cap launched three new cider flavours at once: smooth vanilla,
brisk rhubarb and the idea of blending the two. Fake created and
directed the birth of the new flavours into a film in which hand-drawn,
animated vanilla flowers and rhubarbs bring about the two cider
bottles.
The challenge of this film was to combine the strongly stylized
hand-drawn animations and illustrations with photo realistic elements
such as the bottles and the simulated cider streams. For instance
bringing the two bottles into the drawn world was made with a very
hand-made transition - even though the end result is a pair of
photorealistic cider bottles.
