Twins by Adel Abidin
Fake helped artist Adel Abidin to create a video installation that explores the subconscious within the isolated walls of a womb. A violent yet unconscious battle between twin fetuses over space and food mirrors their grown-up counterparts’ brutal wars of imperialism and economy.
Fake’s contribution included creating and animating the 3d fetuses, including their internal organs, muscles and bones. To achieve the desired medical-imaging look, we created volumetric renders of the whole bodies instead of using the traditional, surface-only approach.
On-screen graphics, final edit and grading were done by Martin Jäger and the sound was created by Miska Seppä, Humina.
