Keiju Nature’s Factory
In this charming spot tradition meets future: use of elaborate scale models never seen before in Finnish tv commercials wrapped up nicely with the magic of CGI. Keiju TVC is a co-production of JWT, Mjölk, Dawson Productions in Prague and Fake.
The production started with character design by Fake. The 2D character is also used in Keiju’s new product illustrations. Next step was to make a 3D animatic of the fairy’s flight path as a guideline for scale model shoot in Prague. At the same time Fake was keeping busy with converting 2D illustration fairy into 3D model.
The extravagant exterior shots of the animation are almost completely Fake CGI. Inside the factory imagery relies on the scale models with seamless digital additions of water ducts, rays of light, pixie dust and, obviously, the fairy herself.
