Banana's Sanctuary

The new Chiquita campaign aimed at the Nordic market is both a demanding visual project and a striking approach to a rather familiar subject: bananas. Instead of going down the usual path of spotless perfection, TBWA\PHS and Fake Graphics worked closely together to develop a polished representation able to communicate not only the qualities of the product, but also the values of the client. Tripping to South Africa to meet up with the experienced photographer Antti Viitala, the team set off to recreate in a controlled environment the conditions of Costa Rican flora and fauna.
Using a mixture of techniques ranging from 3D mockups to wildlife photography and realistic color grading, the sloth and the howler monkeys became then powerful emotional vessels for Chiquita’s message.
