Fake Makes the Game
This year, user generated content is all the rage. To illustrate the sharing potential of its new N-Gage games editor, Nokia needed a frisky and charismatic web-campaign. On the nostalgic notes performed by Lönnberg & Zukov, Laundry and Fake staged the childlike activities of two floating Yamake. Completely absorbed in shaping jelly balls into the craziest items they can come up with, the two little creatures put to test the dexterity of Fake’s animators with intriguing challenges: character rigs had to support flexible arm lengths, split in half and bend into all sorts of poses, while real-time physics was implemented to easily depict vivid jelly behavior. The Humina/Tube sound design put the last piece into place and breathed life into their extravagant play.
