Neon signage
Neon and proper lighting of it is a really fascinating challenge. In glittering cityscapes one can get away with not doing the diffusion properly. This work for Finland's Pulmonary Association's smoking awareness campaign in correlation with the EU-wide ban on smoking in restaurants offers a real challenge. The harsh contrast of pitch black background on top of which the neon shimmer should display realistically and beautifully, taking into account the light leaks that occur near real neon tubing's ends.
