Escape from the Mundane
Can ordinary life become the place to be? Answering “yes” was both the aim of SubTV and the key challenge for Fake Graphics and Woodpecker Film with these new idents. Thanks to a first-class work of light rebuilding, matte painting, retouching and 3D modeling, urban sets in the surroundings of Helsinki and Turku were transfigured into dream locations reminiscent of Cambodia, Thailand or the Shire. Team work with director Sam Shingler, paired with a deep grasp of light behavior, depth of field and water dynamics were central elements to produce seamless transitions and an outstanding overall result.
